SUNDAY PACIFIC PALISADES WORKSHOP
SUNDAY PACIFIC PALISADES WORKSHOP
Good Morning everyone:
In our desire to keep ourselves safe from outside interference it would be best if we all set our zoom dials to speaker preference only.
If you are celebrating a birthday or a milestone in days or months, please let us know in the chat box
Leader
Good Morning! Welcome to the Sunday Morning Open Meeting of the Pacific Palisades AA Workshop. My name is ___________ and I am an alcoholic.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
This is an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous; however participation is limited to members of the AA fellowship.
In these complicated times of zoom meetings our anonymity can be problematic.
If you are concerned about your anonymity please familiarize yourself with zoom protocol to either block your name and or image.
We will be placing everyone on mute during speaker sharing.
Ifanyone is in their first 30 days of sobrietyor and would like recognition please place your name in the chat box.
I have identified myself as an alcoholic. Are there any other alcoholics present? If so please acknowledge by using the raise your hand
buttons at the bottom of your screens. (Wait for a few seconds) “You can put your hands down now.. “
We welcome our friends from out of town and around the world. Thank you for zooming in.
It is a custom in Southern California to read a portion of Chapter 5 from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, entitled “How it Works.” Today, I have asked ___________ to read it for us.
Leader – AFTER CHAPTER 5 HAS BEEN READ:
There are no dues or fees for AA membership; our 7th Tradition states that we are self- supporting through our own contributions. If you would like to make a contribution to your own central office please do so using whatever payment process they accept.
Also, we have been recording the meeting for many years and have
CD’s & MP3 links available. John will have a brief announcement.
